Casper Cutthroats Open Season Tonight At Home-Daily Sports Update

The Casper Cutthroats collegiate team starts the season tonight when they host Cheyenne at Mike Lansing Field. The Cutthroats with a successful season a year ago making it to the Mountain Collegiate League championship season before losing to Fort Collins. Game time is 6:30pm with the opening home stand continuing through Monday.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the Houston Astros Thursday night 7-5 at Coors Field. The Rockies lost 3 of 4 to the Astros this week. The Astros scored 6 runs in the 6th inning including back to back home runs. The Rockies play host to Los Angeles tonight as they open a weekend series.

The Wyoming-South Dakota all-star basketball series for boys and girls will be played tonight in Spearfish and then tomorrow in Gillette. Next week, it's the Wyoming-Montana series in Sheridan and Billings.

The Wyoming Calvary indoor football team will have their final home game tonight meeting Cedar Rapids. The Cavs are 1-10 and Cedar Rapids comes in at 7-5. Tonight's game is at 7:00pm at the Casper Events Center.

In the NBA playoffs, Miami now holds a 3 games to 2 lead over Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals as they bounced the Pacers 90-79 Thursday night. Lebron James threw in 30 points for the Heat. Paul George led the Pacers with 27. Game 6 will be Saturday.
