Casper Cutthroats Remain Unbeaten With 12-2 Win-Daily Sports Update
The Casper Cutthroats remained unbeaten with a 12-2 win over Cheyenne Thursday night in Cheyenne. Brett Guzay went 2 for 6 with 3 RBI's and Brody Miller went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's for the Cutthroats. The Cutthroats go to 12-0 with the win and will continue their four game series at Cheyenne tonight at 6:35pm.
The College National Finals Rodeo continues tonight at the Casper Events Center. The Wyoming participants are doing well and for the latest in results, to to CNFR.com.
The Colorado Rockies lost to Washington 5-4 Thursday afternoon. Ryan Zimmerman of the Nationals homered and drove in 3 runs. The Rockies received some bad news as shortstop Troy Tulowitski has a broken rib and will miss 4 to 6 weeks. He was hitting .346 with 16 home runs.
The NBA Finals is evened at 2 wins apiece as Miami beat San Antonio 109-93 Thursday night on the Spurs home floor. Lebron James threw in 33 points for the Heat followed by Dwayne Wade with 32. Game 5 will be Sunday in San Antonio.
The U.S. Open Golf Tournament started yesterday at Merion outside of Philadelphia. A few players did complete the first round due to the rain. So they played catch up today. Luke Donald finished his first round this morning at 2 under par. Phil Mickelson was the clubhouse leader at 3 under. Mickelson didn't get alot of sleep as he returned from California early Thursday morning after attending his daughters 8th grade graduation Wednesday night in San Diego.
