One of our local Casper neighborhoods is up for a very nice honor. It's a Reader's Digest Nicest Place in America finalist.

Mad props to S. Chestnut Street in Casper. Thanks to a nomination by Danica Sveda, it's already been named a Nicest Place in Wyoming and is now up for the national award.

Reader's Digest called out S. Chestnut for its friendly neighbors that tend to run to the snowblowers to clear each others sidewalks and driveways. They also credit a lot of the kids that live there for their community involvement.

And, who doesn't love all the trees lining S. Chestnut? The street BBQ's are pretty awesome, too.

If you look at the bottom of the Reader's Digest story about S. Chestnut, you'll notice that you can vote to help give them a shot at the national Nicest Place honor. Let's get that done and bring this very nice honor to Casper! It looks like you can vote once per day. Good luck, S. Chestnut! We're cheering you on!
