11 time pro-bowler and 6-time All-Pro Roland "Champ" Bailey is no stranger to speed or high flying theatrics. He's just never done it at 9 times the speed of gravity...until now.

Known for his blazing speed, amazing ball skills, and exceptional football instincts, the Denver Bronco's top DB since 2004 hit the Wyoming Air National Guard runway in Cheyenne on Monday to take part in a ride-along in a U.S. Air Force F-16 with Lt. Col. Jason Koltes of the Thunderbirds. For about 45 minutes, Champ was twisted, turned, and rolled - topping off about about 630 mph - and he kept his cool the entire time.

"You guys were hoping I would throw up," Champ joked. "But it's all good, and I stayed clean." "I didn't know what to expect after going through the briefings. I was expecting worse, but it went smoother than I expected."

Lt. Koltes added "Champ said, `I could take anything you dish out,' so I tried, and sure enough there was nothing I could do in the aircraft that he couldn't handle." Koltes also mentioned that most celebrities or other civilians who they take up can't withstand the high G-force maneuvers.

The U.S. Air Force  Thunderbirds host celebrity ride-alongs every year as part of Cheyenne Frontier Days.
