Cheyenne Officials Making Sure Hail Damage Is Fixed The Right Way
The hail storm that pounded the city of Cheyenne on July 12th caused approximately $120 million in damages. Cheyenne Officials are now making sure that residents and contractors handle the damages the right way.
The issue at hand is making sure that all contractors who are performing work on damaged property is licensed. The reason Cheyenne officials are taking precautions is because homeowners may be liable if someone making repairs is injured while on the job.
A number of contractors from out of state have come to Cheyenne to offer their services. Those other states include Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Texas and Utah. Cheyenne officials will be stopping any jobs discovered to be done by unlicensed contractors. Unlicensed contractors will also be charged an investigation fee.
