Chicago Blackhawks Celebrate Stanley Cup Victory With Parade, Rally
The Chicago Blackhawks paraded through the city on Thursday in celebration of their Stanley Cup victory, the team's third in the past six years.
Players, coaches and front office staff climbed aboard double-decker buses before traveling the parade route lined with cheering fans.
The end point of the trek was Soldier Field, the site of the victory rally. While tickets for the event sold out in minutes on Wednesday, thousands of fans still found a way to enjoy the celebration, thanks to video boards outside the stadium.
The Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup on Monday thanks to a 2-0 shutout in Game 6 of their series with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
