UNDATED (AP) — Just six percentage points separate the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers as they battle for the NBA's best record.

Kevin Durant had 41 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in the Thunder's 112-100 win over New York. Durant entered the game averaging a league-best 31 points before hitting 12 of his 22 shots, including 4-for-7 from 3-point range.

Reggie Jackson had 19 points and six assists and Serge Ibaka (ih-BAH'-kah) had 16 points and nine rebounds to help the Western Conference-leading Thunder move three games ahead of San Antonio and four games in front of Portland.

— Orlando has followed Friday's win over Oklahoma City with a 93-92 win over the Pacers. Victor Oladipo (oh-lah-DEE'-poh) scored 13 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to send the Magic to their third straight win overall and fifth in a row at home. Paul George had a team-high 27 points for Indiana, which leads the East by 3 ½ games over Miami.

— The Los Angeles Clippers celebrated the return of Chris Paul by posting the most lopsided win in franchise history. The Clippers led 46-15 after one quarter and were up by as many as 56 before settling for a 123-78 laugher against Philadelphia. Blake Griffin scored a game-high 26 points in less than 25 minutes. Jamal Crawford added 21 points and DeAndre Jordan had 20 rebounds. Paul played more than 22 minutes and finished with seven points, eight assists and four steals after missing the previous 18 games with a separated shoulder. The 76ers trailed 89-33 in the third quarter and dropped their sixth straight.

— Cleveland has its first winning streak in more than a month after getting 28 points from Kyrie Irving in a 91-83 overtime triumph against Memphis. Irving scored the final four points in regulation to tie it.

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Pistons have fired coach Maurice Cheeks after a little more than a half-season at the post.

The Pistons are 21-29 and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. The team has employed nine head coaches since the 1999-2000 season and hasn't made the playoffs since 2009.

A person with knowledge of Detroit's plans says assistant John Loyer will take over as interim coach.
