CNFR Rolls Through 1st Slack Round

The College National Finals Rodeo completed their first slack round Monday morning at the Casper Events Center. Casey Meroshnekoff from West Hills, Texas leads the bareback with 156 on 2. Spencer Wright from Southern Idaho has 148 on 2 in the saddle bronc to lead that event. Trey Benton from Sam Houston State leads the bullriding with an 85. The tie down roping leader at the moment is Reese Riemer from Tarelton State. In the steer wrestling, David Hinman from NJC has the early lead.

On the ladies side, Leslie Jennings from Southern Arkansas assumed the early lead in the barrell racing with a 14.14. Kim Fehringer from Idaho State has the lead in the breakaway roping. There's a tie for the lead in the goat tying between Hayden Segelke from NJC and Shelby Winchell of Chadron State. The 2nd slack round will be Tuesday and the first night performance will be Tuesday as well.
