Colorado Drops Opening Game Of Last Series At Home

The Colorado Rockies lost to the San Diego Padres 8-2 Monday night at Coors Field in the opening game of the last series at home for this season. The Rockies managed just one hit in the game from Mark Ellis and that didn't occur until the sixth inning. The Rockies continue their late season slump with their fifth straight loss and six of their last seven.

The Wyoming Cowboy football team continue their preparations for the marque game of the year this Saturday evening when they host ninth ranked Nebraska. The Pokes are 3-0 after beating Bowling Green on the road last Saturday afternoon. Nebraska is also 3-0 after defeating Washington at home 51-38. Kickoff is at 5:30pm from War Memorial Stadium. The Annual Oil Bowl Football game is this Friday night as Natrona host Kelly Walsh. The top ranked Mustangs are 4-0 after posting a shutout at Rock Springs 43-0. The Trojans are 0-4 despite playing their best game of the season losing at home to Evanston 30-23. Kickoff is at 6:00pm Friday from Cheney Alumni Stadium with the pregame show at 5:30pm on AM 1400 ESPN.
