The Wyoming Cowboys earned a bid to the College Basketball Invitational and will host Eastern Washington on Wednesday night in Laramie. The Pokes finished the regular season with a record 18-14, sub .500 record in MWC play and an RPI of 151. Eastern Washington from the Big Sky Conference is 22-11 overall and took 2nd place in the league. The last time UW was in the CBI was 2014 where they lost on the road to Texas A&M. Should the Cowboys win on Wednesday, they would play either Missouri-Kansas City or Wisconsin-Green Bay next Tuesday. Former Wyoming Head Coach Steve McClain has his Illinois-Chicago team in the CBI. The Flames will take on Stoney Brook in the opening round.
