It’s now or never for the Wyoming Cowboys. They host game two of the College Basketball Invitational Championship series tonight versus Coastal Carolina in Laramie.

The game starts at 7 p.m. and can be heard on FM 95.1 in Laramie or a local Cowboys Sports Network affiliate station. The game is also being televised on ESPNU.

Wyoming (21-15) dropped the first game in the championship series Monday night, 91-81, in South Carolina. The Cowboys must win game two tonight to force a deciding third game Friday night.

UW head coach Allen Edwards said after Monday’s loss in a radio interview from Learfield Sports, that outside of five blocked shots and Alan Herndon protecting rim, they didn’t play good interior defense.

“The thing that killed us was, not only were they making three-point shots, as a group making 38 percent, but also the other thing that hurt was points in the paint. Whether it be off the drive and finishing around the rim, or extra opportunities with offensive rebounds.”

Coastal Carolina (20-17) took advantage of the Pokes on the inside. The Chanticleers scored 46 points in the paint and grabbed 18 offensive rebounds that led to 17 second chance points. CCU also had good balance with six players in double figures.

The Cowboys had four players in double figures on Monday, but also committed 15 turnovers that led to 18 points for Coastal Carolina.

Tickets are still available and start at $13 for adults and $10 for youth. They are available at gowyo.com, by calling 307-766-7220 or going to the ticket office at the Arena-Auditorium.

If Wyoming wins, the third game of the finals series will be at the AA on Friday at 5 p.m. If the Chanticleers win, they take the CBI title in 2017.
