The Wyoming Cowboys picked up a Mountain West Conference win Wednesday night defeating Nevada 68-48 at the AA in Laramie. The Pokes were led in scoring from Leonard Washington with 16 points and Derrious Gilmore with 15. The Cowboys improve to 3-7 in conference play and 17-7 overall. U-W will host Fresno State on Saturday.

The Wyoming Cowgrls got by Nevada in Reno Wednesday night 66-65. Chaundra Sewell hit 2 free throws in the last half minute for the win. The Cowgirls beat Nevada by 51 in the first conference match up. Sewell finished with 16 points and Ashley Sickles with 15. The Cowgirls are 8-2 in the Mountain West Conference and 19-4 overall. They'll be at Fresno State on Saturday.

The Casper College T-Bird men lost a tough one on the road Wednesday night to Northwest College of Powell 76-68. The Birds drop to 10-3 in Region-IX play and their chances of hosting the Region-IX tournament the first week of March took a big hit thanks to Sheridan College beating Western Wyoming Wednesday night. The Casper College women prevailed over Northwest 68-52 thanks to 21 points from Cheyanne Balster. Both Casper teams return home on Saturday when they host Little Big Horn College of Hardin, Montana.

High school basketball tonight as the Natrona boys and girls travel to Riverton. Due to Riverton hosting the regional wrestling tournament on Friday and Saturday the varsity games have been moved to Central Wyoming College. The girls will tip-off at 5:30pm with the boys to follow at 7:00. The boys game on AM 1400 ESPN with the pregame show at 6:45pm. The junior varsity games will be played at Riverton Middle School.
