The Casper Cutthroats are back in action at home with a doubleheader against Loveland, Colorado today. There will be 2-7 inning games with the first one at 5pm and the 2nd game at around 7pm.  The Cutthroats were rained out in Cheyenne back on Monday and have had the last 2 days off.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-2 at Coors Field on Tuesday night. Pirate pitcher Erik Bedard won his first game in a month. Andrew McCutheon hit a towering home run. Rockies pitcher Christian Friedrich gave up 5 runs and 6 hits in 4 2/3 innings. He has lost 6 of his last 7 starts. Those 2 teams wrapped up their series today at Coors Field. Also the Rockies placed infielder and former Casper player Chris Nelson on the disabled list after being hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat. His heart was shocked back to rhythm but will be limited in his activities for the next several days.

In golf, the British Open starts tomorrow at Royal Lytham and St. Annes. A lot of eyes will be on Tiger Woods, a three time winner of the British Open.

The National High School Finals Rodeo continues in Rock Springs. The Wyoming girls team is currently in 4th place. They Wyoming Boys Team is in 18th place. The Rodeo continues through Saturday.
