There's no place like home.

The friendly comforts of Mike Lansing Field helped the Casper Cutthroats sweep a 3-game set vs. the Loveland Bluejays.

On Wednesday, July 18th, the home team won both ends of a double-header, 13-5 and 7-3.

In Game 1, Colt McLaughlin went 3 for 3, Nick Fisher had 3 RBI's, Tyler Stevenson went 3 for 4, and Austin Rue went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI's.

Most of the runs were scored in a 9-run 6th inning.

Game 2 was not as exciting, but it still resulted in a W for the Cutthroats.

Clayton Truex turned in a 2 for 4 performance to lead the team.

On Thursday, July 19th, the Cutthroats and Blue Jays were back at it, in a single game.

Truex and Coleman Lukas each went 2 for 4.

Blake Coffman went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI's, and Walton Ashwander was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

Casper is 22-15 overall, and is 18-15 in the MCBL, with 4 games remaining on the schedule.

The Cutthroats are 1 game back of Ft. Collins for first, but are only 1 game ahead of Cheyenne, for the final playoff spot in the MCBL.

On Friday and Saturday, Casper will open up a 2-game homestand vs. Laramie
