UPDATE 8:20 p.m: 

Matt Gacke with the Natrona County Fire Protection District encouraged anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire to contact the Natrona County Fire Protection District or Natrona County Sheriff's Office if they saw any suspicious activity. 

Those numbers are 307-235-9282 and 307-265-8656 respectively. 

The cause of the fire, which consumed roughly 25 acres, remains under investigation. 

Around 30 firefighters from Bar Nunn, the Natrona County Fire, Casper, Mills and the BLM responded to the fire. Multiple aircraft also assisted in the response. 


UPDATE 7:32 p.m.: 

The fire appears to be under control and all evacuations are being lifted, Natrona County Sheriff's Office Lt. John Harlin said. 

Two outbuildings have been destroyed along with a hay pile. 

Crews are still working to protect buildings. There are no reports of injuries or homes lost.

Poison Spider and Zero Road are being re-opened. 

Firefighters will remain in the area mopping up. 


Area firefighters are responding to a fast-moving wildfire west of Casper in the area of Zero, Poison Spider and 10-Mile Roads.

Several residences have been evacuated, said Natrona County Sheriff's Office Lt. John Harlin Monday. Multiple aircraft including helicopters and single-engine air tankers are working the fire.

Current evacuations are between Zero Road and Poison Spider Road as well as 10 Mile Road and 12 Mile Road, the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.
