A Wyoming federal judge recently sentenced three people either from or arrested in Casper for drugs and firearms crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Diamond Dawn Huffer, 28, of Casper for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. She received five years of imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $200 in restitution.

In the same case, Skavdahl sentenced Ryan Charles Spencer, 36, of Casper, for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He received five years of imprisonment, to be followed by four years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $200 restitution.

According to the indictment handed up by the grand jury in January, Spencer and Huffer conspired to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine from February to November 2018.

Spencer was arrested by Casper police in November after a traffic stop. The case later was turned over to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. That agency and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation investigated the case that eventually included Huffer.

Skavdahl also sentenced Harry Theodore Wetz, 44, of San Antonio, Texas for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Wetz was arrested in Casper. He received four years three months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $2,850.00 in restitution.

The Sheridan Police Department, Sheridan County Sheriff Office, and U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated this case.
