Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced five people living in or arrested in the Casper area for child pornography, drugs, firearms and illegal alien crimes, according to the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Christopher Lee Hardy, 38, or Casper for two counts of transportation of child pornography. He received seven years six months of imprisonment, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $200 fine and $5,000 in restitution.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Sammuel Dwayne Coe, 32, of Casper, for transportation of child pornography. Coe was arrested in Cheyenne. He received six years one month of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 assessment.

Both child pornography cases were investigated by the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations.

Johnson also sentenced Kody Nathaniel Hess, 30, of Evansville for carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Hess received 15 years of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $200 special assessment.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated this case.

Federal judges also sentenced two Mexican nationals -- Jose Diaz-Castaneda, 45, and Hilda Garcia-Ramos, 31 -- for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Both were arrested in Casper.

They received time served, and are subject to deportation.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigated these cases.
