LARAMIE -- Jay Sawvel said his staff needed to "redefine" some things after last Saturday's blowout loss at North Texas.

While the details are murky, Wyoming's rookie head coach did say, offensively, that it could be as simple as getting the ball in the hands of its playmakers. That's mainly tight end John Michael Gyllenborg, wide receiver TK King and running back Sam Scott.

Those three combined to rush for 99 yards on 21 carries. Scott and King did that. Both also found the end zone in this 31-19 victory over visiting Air Force. Gyllenborg hauled in four passes for a season-high 70 yards, too.

A new weapon emerged in this one: Chris Durr Jr.

The true freshman from Chicago caught three passes for 71 yards. Sixty-two of those yards came after the catch, including 23 on a 3rd-and-4 midway through the fourth quarter.

After starting the night 6-of-10 for 46 yards through the air in two quarters, Evan Svoboda connected on 10 of his final 12 tosses for 142 yards. He also added 70 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground on a dozen attempts.

The Cowboys' four-game skid is now a thing of the past. They're 1-0 in Mountain West play.
