Every business wants to make an impact in the community big enough that people show up to support them. That was a key takeaway from this weekend's Bellwood Boats & BBQ Open House.

When you are planning an event like that, you're never sure exactly what the turnout will be. You hope lots of people will come and stay the whole time, but that's a lot to ask on a Saturday in the summertime. When you're offering free lunch, you want enough for everyone who comes, but not so much that your fridge and freezer are full of leftovers.

Lucky for the gang at Bellwood Boats, they planned an event that had plenty of food for the estimated 200+ people who showed up. The people came from around Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Colorado to check out the new boat lines, and many stayed for the full day of seminars, BBQ, boats, and family fun. Even a crazy Wyoming afternoon storm didn't chase people away from listening to the day's final speakers.

Bellwood's Sale Mgr Steve Stadelmier was the days emcee and the full day of speakers were fantastic and included representatives from the three boat companies (Vexus, Caymas, and G3), Brian Woodward from Rocky Mountain Discount Sports, and the Wyoming Walleye Stampede announcing the 2027 tournament dates, anglers and pro staff members like Nick Schlattmann, Brooks Tyser, Clint Akers sharing their angling stories, Bellwood Boats' owner Paul Bauder talking boat maintenance, Bellwood Boats' Ray Arnold talking about rigging up your boat for your needs, Bellwood Boats' pro staff and Wyoming Walleye Stampede's Mitch Bauers talking about finding the perfect boat for you, fishing guide Curtis McCuiston, and Hornady ammo engineer Joe Thielen. We even had National Fiddle Champion Cody Stadelmier and guitarist Warrie Means entertaining us at lunch. The Bellwood Boats staff and crew were on hand to answer questions and keep everything in order.

It was a fun way to spend a Saturday, and it was fun to see the impact that Paul and the whole crew from Bellwood Boats have had on the boating, fishing, and outdoor community.

We're happy to have them as part of the Wyoming Hookin' &  Huntin' Outdoors Family. If you missed it, stop in and see them at Bellwood Boats.
