Dig Into BBQ While Supporting Casper’s Mountain Biking Team
Casper Mountain is an excellent option for hopping on your mountain bike and checking out the trails. For some, mountain biking is a way of life, and they're willing to travel for trail options. That's where CAMBYR comes in for youth in the Casper area who are interested in mountain bike racing.

CAMBYR is a group of Casper kids in grades 9-12 who compete each fall in mountain biking races around Colorado, where they compete against some of the Mountain West Region's large schools on courses in elevations up to 14,000+ feet.
Since CAMBYR is a club sport, it's not funded as a school program would be, so there are fundraising events to help the athletes and their families with the cost of travel, equipment, training programs, trail development, and other needs of a racing team of this caliber.
Each summer, the team gets together for a fundraising BBQ, and today is the day. This year's BBQ will be held at Wind City Kids, 1511 S. Melrose St., in Casper. BBQ time is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and each plate is just $15.
Everyone is invited to swing by for dinner and help support the team. This would also be a great chance to learn more about CAMBYR, and if you have a youngster who may be interested in getting involved in mountain bike racing, you can get information on how to get started and help the group.
