In heaven, there is no beer; that's why we drink it here.

There's no doubt that there is beer in Wyoming. There are at least 40 breweries in the state, with more on the way. For some, it may be alarming to hear that there are that many breweries here, but if you're a beer lover, it's music to your ears.

In the fall of 2022, I stumbled across an item that changed my life—the Reel Craft Pass. This gave me a guide to places around Wyoming where I could find a beer made right here in the Cowboy State and also get a free beer.

Yep, when you get the pass, you're given a buy-one-get-one for the participating breweries.

In the fall of 2023, I bought my 2024 pass and JUST bought my 2025 pass.

When you think of the Reel Craft Pass, think of it as a passport to the beers of Wyoming because that's what it is, and it's fantastic. Like the passport you need to travel outside the US, you will get a stamp from every brewery you visit, then take pictures to share with the Reel Craft Pass team.

There are a few ways that you can use the pass.

  1. A tour guide of the state.
  2. An opportunity to try a lot of Wyoming beers.
  3. Spend time with friends and family.
  4. Learn about Wyoming's strong beer industry.

We've had lots of fun, adventures, and great beer while using the pass. It's also been a great conversation starter. When you throw your pass on the bar, other patrons' eyes light up, wondering what great wizardry you just dropped. When folks figure out there is a golden ticket just a click away, they buy theirs right there.

I'll continue getting the pass for the next year every fall because they always offer a four-for-three early bird deal.
