How you celebrate is up to you, but fireworks will probably be part of your celebration. You're not allowed to use fireworks in some parts of the state, and for good reason.

Fire.

Wyoming's dry climate isn't perfect for shooting fireworks because wildland fires can start quickly. In 2022 alone, an estimated 31,302 fires were caused by fireworks across the country, causing roughly $109 million in property damage.

Celebrating the 4th is encouraged, but do it safely. One way to do that is to attend one of the many organized fireworks displays around central Wyoming. If you're not sure where to go, we gotchu.

One of the biggest events is at Ford Wyoming Center on the 4th. It starts at 4 p.m. and runs until the fireworks display is over.

Just down the hill you can celebrate with the Casper Spuds, and cheer them on before watching the fireworks display.

Glenrock has two nights of fireworks fun at South Rec. On July 4 and 5, head south of I-25 to check it out. The event benefits the FFA and Wrestling team.

There's an excellent option for celebrating the 4th all weekend at Alcova.

Spend the 4th with the Casper Municipal Band at Washington Park.

Casper Speedway has the Bob Shierkolk Memorial races and will time their intermission with the fireworks.

Douglas is celebrating the 4th with the First Responders Freedom Fest & 5k

Glendo celebrates July 5 & 6 with fireworks, a street dance, and a rodeo.
