On Saturday, around 2:54 AM, BPD Officers responded to a weapons complaint in the 1400 block of Avenue C when a second call was received of an incident where an individual had been shot in the 900 block of Poly Drive.

The 18-year-old male was later identified by MTN News and multiple Facebook posts to be Chandler Stalcup, a Defensive Lineman and Freshman for Rocky Mountain College, from Crystal River, Florida.
Initial reports indicated a disturbance at a residence on Avenue C resulted in a weapon being discharged and involved individuals leaving the area. A second incident took place on Poly Drive resulting in the shooting of the victim.
Today (Sunday, October 29th) around 9 AM, BPD SWAT, Drone Team, and negotiators were activated to a residence in the 1400 block of Sourdough Lane based on information obtained during the now homicide investigation. The scene was turned over to the BPD investigations division for processing.
A 16-year-old male has been arrested for the charge of deliberate homicide and has been remanded into youth services.
As a note, Administrative Lieutenant Matt Lennick did reach out to me about this before publishing (As I wanted to confirm the details), and at this time BPD confirmed that Chandler Stalcup is deceased.
