Wyoming High School Wrestling Scoreboard: Jan. 23-28, 2024

Not as many duals this week for high school wrestling as teams prepare for the Ron Thon this weekend. The Ron Thon Memorial is in Riverton and is held on Friday and Saturday. There are two other tournaments that Wyoming teams are going to this weekend, the Belle Fourche Invite and the Battle on the Bighorn. All schedules are subject to change.

Girls: Wright is 5th and Upton is 11th after Day 1. 

Boys: After Day 1, Wright leads the WY teams in 6th, Newcastle is 13th, Hulett is 14th, and Sundance is 15th.

Boys: Thunder Basin takes 1st place with 173.5 pts behind 4 wrestlers in the top 3. Star Valley was 2nd, Green River was 3rd, and Natrona County finished 4th.

Belle Fourche Invite in Belle Fourche, SD = Hulett, Lusk, Newcastle, Sundance, Upton, Wright 

Girls: Wright finished 7th with Kylie Benim placing 2nd at 100 lbs. Hulett was 13th and Upton was 14th. Red Devils' Delainie Munch was 2nd at 152 lbs and Bobcats' Caden Simianer finished 3rd at 107 lbs.

Boys: Wright finished the best out of the WY teams in 8th behind Pace Garrett, who placed 2nd at 138 lbs. Hulett was 12th with Christian Reilly placing 1st at 285. Newcastle was 15th and Sundance was 16th. 

Battle on the Bighorn in Hardin, MT = Tongue River

Results: The Eagles had 2 1st-place wrestlers, Eli Raymond and Trey Breen, and many other wrestlers who finished in the top 3. (No team score was kept and girls' and boys' results can be found together in the link below.)
