Meals on Wheels in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a little short on drivers. There are folks out there who need your help.  If you have been looking for something meaningful to do, this might be perfect.

The mission of Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne, Inc is to support the independence, health, and well-being of individuals living in Cheyenne and Laramie County with an expressed need for nutritional support through the delivery of nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks.

Since its inception, Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne has been funded by local support, as well as donations from various groups, churches, and businesses throughout the community.

Here is what they need.

Regular Drivers Monday-Friday
Be assigned a consistent route every week. Most routes are currently assigned but can change. Let them know if you are interested in a regular route throughout the year.

Summer/Seasonal Drivers Monday-Friday
Summer drivers are needed from May to August to drive a regular route when drivers are out of town.

Substitute Drivers
Substitute Drivers sign up to drive only as needed on certain days.

AniMEALS Driver
Delivery on the Third Saturday of every month. Pick up between 9 am and 11 am at Cheyenne Dog Food Company, 801 West Pershing Blvd

Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne strives to coordinate services with other local agencies to ensure each client receives needed services that are not duplicated by other community agencies. They partner with other programs in the community, including: NEEDS, Inc, Wyoming Senior Services, City-County Health, Home Health Care Providers, LIEAP, Hospitals, Medical Community, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Programs, Protection and Advocacy, Adult Day Care, Mental Health Programs, Senior Companions, Cent$ible Nutrition, and many others.
