7 Unwritten Rules For Driving Wyoming Roads
We have all suffered a little road rage at times. Some of us have suffered a lot of it. Let's also get it out there as a fact that many Colorado drivers are NUTS!.
Here are some unwritten rules for driving on Wyoming roads.
When passing someone on a backroad where driving kinds slow is necessary, and you can make eye contact with the person that you are passing who is going in the opposite direction, you must raise two fingers from your steering wheel to say hello. If you don't, then you are just a rude jerk.
On the interstate, the left lane is for passing only. DO NOT STAY IN THE LEFT LANE FOR CRUISING!
If you are enjoying our wonderful Wyoming scenery and are taking it slow, use every opportunity to pull over and let the traffic behind you go.
If you pass someone and pull in front of them, DO NOT slow down to a slower speed than the person you passed was going. If you do that, the lady in the video below has a question for you.
Driving fast on the unplowed interstate land on a snowy day means you are the worst driver in the world, and you have a death wish. We will all see you up the road, packed in snow in the ditch. Have fun with that.
Everyone driving the exact same 12 mph over the speed limit in a pack forms a temporary, unspoken family unit that protects each other from speed cameras.
Do not pass snowplows, unless you want to die at the age you are at. Honestly, you have a death wish is you do this.
When two semi-trucks drive side-by-side at a 0.5 mph speed difference (known as the "Elephant Race"), you are legally required to sigh deeply and question your life choices.
