Wyoming Wolf Snatches Baby Pronghorn In Front Of Shocked Tourist

Nature is beautiful.

But sometimes the reality of nature can be ugly.

These folks were doing the tourist thing in Wyoming and enjoying the site of a mama pronghorn and her baby.

Traffic was heavy. Many other tourists were in the area.

Suddenly a long wolf ran out into the scene, nobody knew where he was hiding.

It snatched a baby pronghorn right in front of its mother.

If you can stomach watching the video you'll see the mother try to run down the wolf and get her baby back.

Despite having a baby in its mouth the wolf is still too fast for the mother.

You'll hear the desperation in the people shooting the video.

You'll also see distressed people running around, unsure of what to do.

On the one hand, nobody likes to see scenes like this.

It's heartbreaking.

On the other hand, the wolf needs to eat.

It might also be that the wolf is a female and a mother.

She might have cubs to feed.

If she doesn't bring something home every so often the cubs will starve.

Nobody wants to see that, either.

At the end of the video, you'll see that mother Pronghorn has lost sight of where the wolf took her baby.

She darts around, searching.

The wolf and baby are probably not that far away.

But it's too late, even if she did find them.

By now the baby has probably already been killed.

Nature is beautiful.

But it can be harsh, heartbreaking, and at times ugly.

It's all a matter of survival.
