A Cheyenne sex offender is facing a felony charge following an investigation by the Laramie County Sheriff's Office.

According to a booking sheet, 56-year-old Andre Nigel Pendleton was arrested at 2708 Terry Rd. at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25, after a deputy contacted him.

The deputy had been conducting a failure to register case for two jobs, an address change, a new phone number, and for Pendleton, who's a transient, staying in a restricted school zone twice.

According to the Wyoming Sex Offender Registry, Pendleton was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor on Oct. 12, 2010.

Cheyenne Transient Charged With Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

Pendleton was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and later charged with one felony count of failure to register as a sex offender.

He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday morning, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash at 10% and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 3 at 3:30 p.m.
