According to a fatality crash summary, 27-year-old Colorado resident Juan Lopez Lopez was behind the wheel of a southbound Chevrolet Express when the right rear tire failed, causing him to lose control of the van.

"The vehicle crossed both travel lanes and entered the median in a passenger-side leading slide, where it tripped and rolled," the summary reads.

Lopez was not wearing his seat belt and died from his injuries.

One of his five passengers was also reportedly injured in the crash.

This is the 27th reported fatality on Wyoming's highways so far this year.

Of those fatalities, five, or 18.52%, have died in crashes on I-25.
