Shari’s Restaurant In Cheyenne To Close After Four Decades
A Cheyenne eatery that has been in business for over 40 years will soon close its doors.
Shari's restaurant in Cheyenne, locally known for pies, burgers, breakfasts and traditional American ''comfort food" has posted an announcement saying it will no longer be open after Tuesday, October 8.
The local Shari's is part of a national chain that has reportedly fallen on hard times.
Shari's Chain Facing Financial Issues Across The Nation
The announcment does not specificy why it is closing. But a recent article in restaurantbusinessonline.com said the national Shari's chain was facing dire financial problems, with unpaid rent and back taxes dogging the chain nationally. A quick google search reveals reports of Shari's restaurants closing or in financial jeopardy across the country.
On Saturday morning the Cheyenne Shari's appeared to be doing a brisk business, with a full parking lot and all the appearances of a busy breakfast crowd. But a sign in the window asked patrons to be patient, as the eatery is short staffed due to the impending closure.
