Some of our friends in Montana just got a rare treat. A family captured video of an albino mule deer.

Believe it or not, there is a website called Protect the Rare White Deer. According to them, there is only a 1 in 20,000 chance of seeing an albino mule deer. Others say it could be as rare as 1 in 30,000.

The couple that shared the video on YouTube said they were on a construction site when the albino deer made an appearance. They were fortunate to have their phone handy and grabbed this video and quite a few pictures.

Whatever you do, don't call an albino deer a "white deer". The fans of albino deer will quickly correct and inform you that those are two different kind of deer. Trust me on this one. An albino completely lacks pigment of any kind while a white deer just has a white coat. Whew.

This albino deer is actually super rare since most reports of them come from Wisconsin. Now you know.
