Say What?

What up people?  Some upsets in college football last week made for some great viewing!  Who would have thought Stanford could beat USC without Andrew Luck?  I think many people lost a few bucks on that bet!

I think many people thought Michigan State was going to win over Notre Dame, as well.

In the Mountain West, the Ute’s beat BYU, how ‘bout that!  And finally, even though they are not a ranked team, Auburn was picked to just blow out Louisiana-Monroe but only squeaked by.

As for the pros, what happened to Dallas?  Wow.  I remember when the star on the helmet was cause for concern, but so far, not so much.

So much for Kansas City, although I think they have the talent to win, they just can’t seem to get it together.

The Vikings beat the Pats, yes, that’s right, the Vikings beat the Pats.  Who would have predicted that one?

I did pick the Steelers over the Jets and the Niners over the Lions.  The Falcons looked really good against Denver last night.

Looking to next week, I have no idea what’s going on with the Pokes, and the Huskers should win over Idaho State.

As for the pro’s, I’m not going to pick what I feel are gimmie games, like the Niners over the Vikings, let’s go with the Jets over Miami; the Cardinals over the Eagles, and the Bears over the Rams.

San Fran is just really good, all the way around and shouldn’t have much of a problem winning over Minnesota.  New York is coming off of a loss, as is da Bears, so they will be hungry for a win.

Even though it is early in the season, every win counts.  Having too many losses early in the season makes it quite difficult to climb out of during the season when teams begin to really start clicking.

I hear mixed emotions about the replacement refs.  I think they do an okay job.  Not great but not terrible.  For me the worst is that they call all kinds of interference calls when it should just be played out.  I have also seen a lot of holding calls that were bogus.  It is definitely an adjustment to say the least.  What do you think?

Enjoy the games this week and as always, keep it real!
