A year ago, the Midwest boys finished 9th at the State Track Meet. This year, The Oilers took 3rd with a couple of crucial 1st place finishes. In the 4x100 meter relay, the squad of Kayden Best, Will Chapman, Deaton Joslyn and Dalton Bogart ran 46.96 to take the gold medal. Kaleb Smith was strong in the hurdle events, grabbing 2nd place in 110 in 16.23 and 5th in the 300 in 43.94.

In the field events, Kayden Best turned in his best effort by winning the discus with a toss of 127 feet 9 inches. He placed 7th in the shot at 39 feet 9 and a half inches along with a 5th place finish in the high jump at 5-6. Jared Even took 3rd in the pole vault, going over the bar placed at 11 feet even.
