NBA Basketball: Denver-109 Detroit-97 Daily Sports Update

The Denver Nuggets beat the Detroit Pistons Tuesday night 109-87. Andre Iguodala had 6 of his 17 points in the final 3 minutes. Iguodala also had 10 rebounds. Greg Monroe had 27 points for the Pistons. Detroit and Washington remain the only teams winless in the NBA.The Nuggets are at Houston tonight.

In men's junior college basketball from Tuesday night as Casper College beat Laramie Community College of Cheyenne in double overtime 97-88 in Cheyenne. The game was tied at 68 after regulation and tied at 76 after the first overtime. The Birds out scored LCCC 21-12 in the 2nd OT. Remi Debo led the T-Birds with 28 points and 15 rebounds. Dominique Lee added 15 points. The T-Birds are off until Nov. 16-17 when they host the Pizza Hut Invitational at Erickson Gym. The Lady T-Birds are back in action this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Sterling, Colorado  for the NJC Tournament.

The Casper College Volleyball team is preparing for the National Junior College Tournament next week in West Plains, Missouri. The T-Birds captured the Region-IX North Tournament in Powell last Saturday when they beat nationally ranked Western Wyoming of Rock Springs. The City of Casper will host the next three national JUCO volleyball tournament staring in 2013 through 2015 at the Casper Events Center.
