NBA: Denver-123 New Jersey-115

The Denver Nuggets beat the New Jersey Nets 123-115 Wednesday night. Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 23 points with Corey Brewer adding 19 as Denver broke a 2 game losing streak.The Nuggets are 7-4.

In junior college basketball, The Casper College teams split with Miles City on Wednesday night. The Lady T-Birds beat the Pioneers 68-51 as Shelby Stewart (Glenrock) dropped in 15 points and had 9 rebounds. Bailey Holland with 14 points for the T-Birds. Casper ups their record to 13-1 overall where they are currently ranked 6th in the nation. They also remain unbeaten in the Region-IX North Division with a 4-0 record.

The T-Bird men lost 97-90 to the Pioneers. Casper fought back from an 18 point deficit to lead by 6. But Miles City was able to come back with some great second hand shooting. Darrious Curry led the Birds with 21 points. Casper falls to 9-5 overall and 1-3 in the North. Both teams will be in Powell on Saturday to play Northwest College with the women's game at 3 and the men's game at 5ppm. Both games on AM 1400 ESPN.

The Wyoming Cowgirls lost their Mountain West Conference opener Wednesday night at the AA to UNLV, 54-51. The Cowgirls shot just 35% from the field and hit just 4 3-pointers out of 19 attempts. UW was led in scoring by Kayla Woodward (Sheridan) with 21 points. The Cowgirls (4-10) will be at New Mexico on Saturday.
