INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Pacers refuse to be pushovers.

The Eastern Conference finals are tied at two games apiece after the Pacers closed on a 16-6 run to beat the Miami Heat 99-92. The late spurt came after the Heat put together a 14-2 run to take an 86-83 lead.

Roy Hibbert had 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Lance Stephenson added 20 points. Hibbert helped the Pacers outrebound the Heat 49-30 and outscore Miami in the paint 50-32.

LeBron James, Dwyane (dwayn) Wade and Chris Bosh combined to miss 25 of 39 shots. James had a game-high 24 points before fouling out with 56 seconds left.

Miami hosts Game 5 on Thursday.

UNDATED (AP) — The NBA Board of Governors has unanimously approved the sale of the Sacramento Kings to a group led by TIBCO Software chairman Vivek Ranadive (VIHV'-ehk rah-nah-DEE'-vay).

The NBA said in a statement Tuesday that the "transaction is expected to close shortly."

After league owners blocked the sale and relocation of the franchise to Seattle earlier this month, the Maloof family reached an agreement to sell a 65 percent controlling interest in the Kings to Ranadive's group at a total franchise valuation of $535 million.

— The Atlanta Hawks have named longtime Spurs assistant Mike Budenholzer as head coach. He replaces Larry Drew, whose contract was not renewed after four years on the job.

— The Suns turned to a former player after one of the worst seasons in franchise history, officially hiring Jeff Hornacek (HORN'-uh-sehk) as their new coach. Hornacek spent the first six of his 14 seasons as an NBA player with Phoenix and had been an assistant with the Utah Jazz since 2011.
