High school football starts tonight in Class 4A in Wyoming. Both Casper schools are on the road. Preseason #1-Natrona travels to Cheyenne South in the first Prep Game of the Week on AM 1400 ESPN. Kickoff is at 7:00pm with with the pregame show at 6:45pm. Kelly Walsh is also in Cheyenne to battle East. The rest of the 4A schedule has Gillette at Evanston, Sheridan at Cheyenne Central and Laramie at Rock Springs. The rest of Wyoming's high school football teams will begin their seasons next weekend.

Casper's  volleyball teams are in the Cheyenne Invitational beginning today and running through tomorrow. The Casper College volleyball team tips off their season today with a tournament in Twin Falls, Idaho. The Birds with a number of sophomore returnees, will open their home schedule on Tuesday evening against Western Nebraska.

The Colorado Rockies believe or not are one of the hottest teams in baseball. They won their season high 5th in row yesterday afternoon, a 1-0 win over the New York Mets to sweep that 4 game series. The Rockies did this despite a superlative effort by Mets pitcher Collin McHugh who was making his major league debut. He gave up just 2 hits in 7 innings of work and struck out 9 and walked 1. The Rockies continue the road trip for a weekend series at Wrigley Field in Chicago with the Cubs.
