UNDATED (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals seem to have rediscovered their offense after scoring just seven runs in a three-game sweep by Texas.

Allen Craig went 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs as the Redbirds ripped Houston 13-5. Carlos Beltran and David Freese (freerz) also homered, and Matt Carpenter added a bases-loaded triple while the Redbirds put together a seven-run fourth.

Jake Westbrook carried a no-hitter into the sixth as the Cards improved to a major league-best 48-29, including a 26-13 mark on the road.

Also in the majors, Russell Martin, Brandon Inge (ihnj) and Starling Marte homered in a five-run second that powered Pittsburgh past Seattle 9-4. Marte had three hits and scored three times to back Jeff Locke, who's 7-1 with a 2.06 ERA after allowing two runs and four hits in seven innings.

Dustin Pedroia (peh-DROY-uh) drove in four runs and had three of Boston's season-high 20 hits in an 11-4 pounding of Colorado. Jacoby Ellsbury scored three times and was one of four Red Sox starters with three hits.

Chris Davis banged out his major league-leading 28th homer and Baltimore ended a four-game skid by downing Cleveland 6-3. The Orioles trailed 3-1 in the seventh until Davis hit a two-run homer and Alexei Casilla (kah-SEE'-uh) added a three-run blast.

The Los Angeles Angels erupted for eight runs in the fifth inning to beat Detroit 14-8. J.B. Shuck went 3-for-5, scored twice and drove in four runs as part of the Angels' 16-hit assault.

The New York Yankees beat Texas 4-3 on Ichiro Suzuki's two-out homer in the bottom of the ninth. Travis Hafner, Brett Gardner and Jayson Nix also belted solo homers as the Yankees ended the Rangers' five-game winning streak.

Josh Donaldson's two-run homer capped a four-run third that put Oakland ahead 6-0 in a 7-3 triumph against Cincinnati. The Athletics' bullpen tossed shutout ball over the final 4 1/3 innings after Tom Milone was reached for three runs, six hits and four walks.

Jason Heyward hit a two-run double and provided a tiebreaking, solo homer in the seventh inning to lift Atlanta past Kansas City 4-3. Kris Medlen gave up three runs in seven innings to improve to 5-7.

Domonic Brown smacked a three-run homer and drove in four runs in Philadelphia's 6-2 win at San Diego. Kyle Kendrick gave up two runs in eight innings for his seventh win.

Adam LaRoche was 3-for-4 with a three-run homer as Washington topped Arizona 7-5. Gio Gonzalez allowed nine hits in 6 1/3 innings but limited the Diamondbacks to a pair of runs in his first victory since May 5.

The Dodgers knocked off San Francisco 6-5 as Mark Ellis and Hanley Ramirez hit two-run homers for Los Angeles. Yasiel Puig (YAH'-see-ul pweeg) was the Dodgers' only starting position player without a hit, going 0-for-4 to drop his average to .420.

Matt Moore picked up his 10th win by limiting Toronto to a run and four hits while striking out 11 over six innings of Tampa Bay's 5-1 triumph over the Blue Jays. Yunel (yoo-NEHL') Escobar and James Loney each went 3-for-5 with a run scored as the Rays handed the Blue Jays their second straight loss since a team record-tying 11-game winning streak.

Rickie Weeks homered twice and collected four RBIs as Milwaukee crushed the Chicago Cubs 9-3. Juan Francisco also homered for the Brewers, who have won nine straight and 19 of 21 against the Cubs.

Chris Sale struck out 13 over eight innings but had to settle for a no-decision as the White Sox blew a one-run lead in the ninth before beating the Mets 5-4. Alexei Ramirez hit a walkoff single in the ninth, a half-inning after the White Sox dropped a popup with two outs, allowing New York to extend the game.

Marcell Ozuna (oh-ZOO'-nuh) hit a solo homer and an RBI double as Miami doubled up Minnesota 4-2. Derek Dietrich also homered for the Marlins.

UNDATED (AP) — New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has tweeted that his hip surgeon has cleared him to play in rehabilitation games, a move that angered general manager Brian Cashman.

Cashman told ESPN.com that when the Yankees want to announce something, they will. Cashman added that "Alex should just shut...up," placing a profanity in between "shut" and "up."

Rodriguez had left hip surgery on Jan. 16 and has been working out at the Yankees' complex in Tampa, Fla.

Arizona Diamondbacks utilityman Eric Hinske (HIHN'-skee) dropped the appeal of his suspension after it was reduced to one game from five. Hinske was punished by Major League Baseball for his role in a benches-clearing brawl with the Los Angeles Dodgers two weeks ago, one of eight members of the two teams to be suspended. Hinske served the suspension during the D-backs' game at Washington on Tuesday.

Arizona also made two roster moves on Tuesday, reinstating second baseman Aaron Hill from the 15-day disabled list and optioning Joe Paterson to Triple-A Reno. Hill hit .306 the first 10 games of the season before breaking his left hand after being hit by a pitch thrown by Pittsburgh's James McDonald on April 9.

The Reds have placed second baseman Brandon Phillips on the paternity list and reinstated outfielder Chris Heisey from the 15-day disabled list. Phillips will miss the team's two-game series in Oakland before rejoining the club Friday at Texas.

The Dodgers have activated Matt Kemp, who is batting .251 with two homers and 15 RBIs. The two-time All-Star outfielder missed 24 games because of a right hamstring strain.

The Chicago Cubs have designated former All-Star Carlos Marmol (mahr-MOHL') for assignment, parting ways with the struggling reliever. Marmol was 2-4 with two saves and a 5.86 ERA in 31 appearances this season, striking out 32 while walking 21 batters.

The Boston Red Sox have optioned struggling third baseman Will Middlebrooks to Triple-A Pawtucket. Middlebrooks has hit .192 in 53 games for Boston this season, missing 16 with a lower back strain.

And the Mets have shipped outfielder Collin Cowgill to the Angels for minor league outfielder Kyle Johnson.
