UNDATED (AP) — Matt Harvey outpitched All-Star teammate Cliff Lee leading the Mets to a 5-0 win over Philadelphia.

Harvey scattered three hits and struck out 10 in seven innings to improve his record to 8-2.

David Wright and Marlon Byrd reached Lee for back-to-back first inning homers to supply Harvey with all the run support he would need. Juan Lagares added a three-run homer off of Lee in the fourth.

In other National League play:

— Adam Wainwright worked eight sharp innings for his National League-leading 13th win as St. Louis held off San Diego 3-2. Allen Craig made a game-ending leaping catch at the left field wall to help preserve the win for the NL Central leaders.

— Matt Kemp had a home run and a double in the same inning in his first two at-bats since coming off the disabled list in the Dodgers 9-2 win over Washington. Kemp's hits came during a seven-run inning against Nationals 12-game winner Jordan Zimmerman. Clayton Kershaw allowed two runs and two hits in seven innings to improve to 9-6 for LA. His major league-leading ERA is now 2.01.

— Arizona maintained its half-game lead over the Dodgers in the NL West by beating San Francisco 3-1 to avoid a three-game sweep. Paul Goldschmidt hit a sacrifice fly and a double against All-Star Madison Bumgarner. Ex-Giant Cody Ross added a late two-run single.

— Jeff Locke allowed just an infield single in six innings to lead Pittsburgh to a 3-2 win over Cincinnati. Locke and the Pirates relievers held the Reds to just three singles but combined for seven walks. Cincinnati's Homer Bailey struck out a career high 12 but fell to 5-9.

— Caleb Gindl hit his first career home run in the bottom of the 13th inning and the Milwaukee Brewers beat Miami 1-0. The Brewers shut out the punchless Marlins for the third consecutive game.

__ Tyler Chatwood pitched six strong innings, Nolan Arenado hit a go-ahead single and the Colorado Rockies beat the Chicago Cubs 4-3 to win the three-game series.

Over in the AL:

__ The Boston Red Sox outlasted the New York Yankees 8-7 in 11 innings to take two of three in their weekend series at Fenway Park. Mike Napoli (NAP'-oh-lee) ended it with his second home run of the night in the 11th. Napoli also slugged a three-run home run in the third inning. Johnny Gomes added a solo shot for the AL East leaders.

__ Baltimore topped Texas 4-2. Winning pitcher Chris Tillman improved to 3-0 lifetime against Texas, and 11-1 in his career against AL West opponents. Tillman improved to 12-3 overall, allowing two run in his six innings. The Orioles have won seven of eight.

— Surging Tampa Bay got homers from Luke Scott, Kelly Johnson and Evan Longoria in a 4-3 win over Toronto. Chris Archer went seven innings to win his fourth straight decision. He's 4-0 with a 1.62 ERA in his last six starts. The Rays have won 13 of 14 and 20 of their past 24.

— Nick Franklin hit his first career grand slam in Seattle's big second inning to back up a scoreless start by Felix Hernandez, and the Mariners rolled past the Houston Astros 12-5 for their season-best sixth straight victory. Hernandez is 11-4.

__ Bartolo Colon (bar-TOH'-loh koh-LOHN') is having quite a season at 40 years old. The portly Oakland right-hander threw a 116-pitch four-hitter and the Athletics blanked the L.A. Angels 6-0. He is 13-3.

— Miguel Cabrera hit his 31st home run of the season and Andy Dirks added another to lead Detroit to a 4-1 win over Kansas City. Doug Fister helped the AL Central leaders keep from being swept by going six innings, allowing a run on six hits.

— Justin Masterson took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning to pace Cleveland to a 7-1 win over Minnesota. Michael Brantley hit a bases-loaded triple for the Indians who avoided a three-game sweep.

— In the interleague game, left fielder Casper Wells robbed Reed Johnson of a game-tying homer in the eighth inning to help the Chicago White Sox preserve a 3-1 win over Atlanta. Jose Quintana scattered nine singles over 5 2-3 innings for the win. Braves starter Mike Minor turned in his first career complete game in the loss.

UNDATED (AP) — — New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez won't make his 2013 debut this week, as originally planned. The Yankees say A-Rod has Grade 1 strain of his left quadriceps muscle and his return to the major leagues is on hold because of this new injury.

Instead, Rodriguez will return to Tampa, Fla., "for rest and treatment." The three-time AL MVP will remain on the disabled list. The team said it might petition Major League Baseball for an additional rehab assignment because of the new injury.

In other baseball news:

— The San Diego Padres have placed pitcher Jason Marquis (mahr-KEE') on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow strain. Marquis has lost three straight decisions to fall to 9-5 with a 4.05 ERA.

— The Giants have placed reliever Jeremy Affeldt on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left groin suffered in Saturday's game against Arizona. The left-hander is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.
