UNDATED (AP) — The opening week of the season has been a disaster for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They lost the opener to Tennessee Sunday. And the loss cost them two key players for the season.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Rookie quarterback Geno Smith will get his second start for the Jets when they play at New England on Thursday night. Coach Rex Ryan gave Smith the nod after saying he played solidly in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay.

Ryan adds that Mark Sanchez will seek second opinion on his injured shoulder that has sidelined him for the start of the season. According to published reports, Sanchez will meet with Dr. James Andrews at some point this week to get further evaluation.

DETROIT (AP) — Detroit defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (ehn-DAHM'-uh-kehn SOO) might've gotten himself in trouble with another nasty play on the field.

An NFL spokesman has confirmed via email to the Associated Press, Suh's illegal low block in Detroit's game against Minnesota will be reviewed for potential discipline.

Suh hit Vikings center John Sullivan during an interception return and the penalty against him negated a touchdown during Detroit's 34-24 win. Suh said he wasn't going after Sullivan's knees, adding the two talked about it at halftime.
