T-Bird Men & Women Lose in Region IX Finals

The Casper College basketball teams were denied spots in the junior college national tournaments after loses in the Region IX finals on Saturday night. The T-Bird women ranked 15th in the country lost to Gillette College in Campbell County 78-68. C.C. was led in scoring by Alyssa Big Man with 18 and Ada Yelcin added 17. The Birds finish the year at 29-5 on the year but lost to Gillette 2 of 3 for the season. The Casper College men lost to Gillette in Otero on Saturday 97-69. Gillette is ranked 5th in the country and beat Casper 2 of 3 this season. The T-Birds were led in scoring by Deante Strickland with 16 and L.J. Westbrook had 15. Casper finishes the season with a record of 25-9
