The Casper College basketball teams wrapped up the regular season on Wednesday night taking on Western Nebraska with the C.C. ladies losing and the C.C. men winning. The T-Bird women who spent a good portion of the year nationally ranked lost to the Cougars 53-48 to drop to 25-4 on the year. Casper shot just 28% from the floor and Western Nebraska wasn't much better at 33%. Monika Radomska led the Birds with 11 and Gabby Johnson had 10. Casper will start Region IX tournament play on Tuesday in Gillette with an opening round game against Lamar. The T-Bird held off Western Nebraska 89-87 on Wednesday night to finish at 22-8. The Birds were led by Gerad Davis 21 points and L.J. Westbrook added 20. The men's Region IX tournament features first round games at campus sites so the Birds will host Little Big Horn on Saturday at 5:30.
