The Casper College Basketball teams split their games on Saturday with Northwest of Powell with the T-Bird women holding on to first place in the Region IX North and the Trapper men doing the same thing. The Casper women prevailed over the Lady Trappers 68-55 as Douglas native Kassidy Scott threw in 19 with Ada Yalcin contributing 14. The T-Birds are 11-1 in conference play and 21-6 overall. Powell fell to 14-13 overall and 6-6 in the Region IX North.

The Casper College men absorbed a 94-85 defeat to Powell on Saturday night at the Erickson Gym. Christopher Boucher had a monster game for the Trappers with 30 points and 21 rebounds with 7 dunks. The T-Birds received a marvelous game from Hakeem Rogers with 32 points. Powell is ranked 20th in the country and all but assured themselves as the host for the Region IX tournament. The Trappers are 11-1 in conference play and 24-4 overall. Casper College is 6-6 in league play and 19-9 overall. Both T-Bird teams will be at Western Wyoming in Rock Springs on Tuesday.
