T-Birds Sweep Opening Weekend.

The Casper College basketball teams went a combined 4-0 as they tipped off the season over the weekend at the Erickson Gym. The T-bird men started things out with a gigantic 124-59 win over Impact from Las Vegas as Jalen Canty led the way with 21 points. On Saturday, the Birds knocked off defending Region IX champions, NJC 63-58.Hakeen Rogers had 16 points to lead C.C. in that game.

On the ladies side, Casper College started the season on Friday with a 100-74 win over Lamar, Colorado. Sakayla Davenport was the Birds leading scorer with 19. The C.C. ladies capped the weekend off with a 65-57 victory over Otero, Colorado. Ada Yalcin paced the T-Birds with 18. The T-Bird men will host the Wyoming All Stars on Tuesday with the T-Bird women on the road at NJC on Friday.
