T-Birds Sweep Western Wyoming

The Casper College basketball teams came out victorious against Western Wyoming in Rock Springs on Tuesday night. The T-Bird ladies clinched a #1 seed in the upcoming Region IX tournament with an 81-72 win over Western. Brianna Troop led the way with 19 points and Kassidy Scott added 15. The Thunderbirds are 12-1 in the Region IX North and 22-6 overall. The Casper College men prevailed over Western Wyoming 69-64 thanks to 17 points from Rock Springs native Chase Riley. The Birds 7-6 in Region IX play and 20-8 overall. Both C.C. teams will wrap up the home portion of their schedule on Saturday when they host Central Wyoming.
