A 56-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony drug possession charges after police reportedly caught him with fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Early Tuesday morning there was a single vehicle crash which caused major road closures in Casper.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is reminding all drivers to avoid falling prey to distractions after a trucker flipped their rig on Interstate 80 Friday afternoon.

A crash involving hazardous materials has forced the closure of Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Laramie, the Wyoming Department of Transportation says.

That is far fewer than automobile crashes.

These charges come after a fatal crash that occured on May 7, 2022.

There was no indication that the driver was intoxicated

Subsequent investigations determined Brandon Steele's blood alcohol content would have been about 0.133% at the time of the crash. (The legal limit is 0.08%)

Casper police had been looking for a vehicle connected to two separate but related violent felonies during which the occupants fired multiple gunshots at their victims in residential areas on Sunday.

The area will be closed to all foot and vehicle traffic probably until 10 a.m. Tuesday. Find alternate routes if your commute goes through this area.
