Starting small forward Danilo Gallinari will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his left knee for the second time in nine months. The initial injury occurred last April during the Nuggets vs. Mavericks game. Early reports indicted he had torn an ACL. He underwent surgery on April 30 to repair the meniscus damage, but the procedure did not address the ACL. This week’s ACL reconstruction surgery will keep Gallo out for the rest of the season.

It doesn't take much to make me happy (food, music, family, etc.). But for me to get "screaming like a teenage girl that was just asked out to prom" excited... well that's a completely different story. That's how excited I was after hearing Altitude TV's sports announcer, Chris Marlowe read my tweet live during the Denver Nuggets 31-point blowout over the Boston Celtics Tuesday evening.

Tonight at 7pm (MST) is going to be one for the history books. The Denver Nuggets' new head coach, Brian Shaw, will be going up against his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, for the first time in the regular season. Shaw has a vivid past with the Lakers, both as a player and as an assistant coach.

After an awful season opener ( the Nuggets were 0-3 coming into last nights game), Denver was able to add a much needed win to the column.

Tonight the Denver Nuggets start the official season against the Kings in Sacramento. This will be new Head Coach, Brian Shaw's first season game after replacing George Karl.
