Local resident's forgetfulness leads to car battery disaster after monster truck event in Casper - a lesson in winter preparedness and community kindness.

The story comes from Accu Weather, who shared a video of a 'determined' SUV that did everything in its (horse)power to help a semi truck get up an icy hill.

First things first, make sure you have tissues handy, because this is one of those happy tear jerkers.

Casper has many "Good Samaritans", especially during this time of year when the weather is at its worst.

"We were on outer drive tonight and saw someone lost a box of stuffed animals all over the road on the westbound lane," a good Samaritan wrote. "Get in touch. We can get them back to you."

Capserites are always great at helping each other out in times of need and that's just another one the things that makes living here grand.

It is a famous proverb that is said quite often, but it's because it is almost always fitting in everyday life: not all heroes wear capes.

It really is the little things that count the most. I can't stress that enough. So let me start by saying thank you for clearing off my vehicle.

The kindness and willing to help others in need in Casper and literally all over the state of Wyoming, is one of things I love the most about this part of the country.
