The Casper Police Department is hosting their second annual Police Week Block Party this Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, in front of the Hall of Justice.
Working in law enforcement is already a herculean undertaking, but the added effects of having to enforce COVID-19 restrictions, has definitely made the job more extreme these last two years.
"Over the course of 18 hours, trained crisis negotiators used a multitude of tactics in an attempt to peacefully resolve the situation," the NCSO wrote. "During the incident, there was exchange of gunfire between the armed barricaded subject and law enforcement."
What this means is that if Casper drivers are involved in a car accident that does not have injuries, the CPD ask that drivers not call emergency services.
