A state champion skier and three four-time state champion wrestlers earned the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Wyoming WyoPreps Athlete of the Week honors for Feb. 28, 2024.

Pinedale junior Elyn Bowers and Rock Springs senior Broc Fletcher received the honor for last week’s performances.

Liam Fox of Cheyenne East had a 6th place finish and Maggie Smith of Rock Springs had a 7th place finish

In one of the most competitive, exciting, and hard fought games of the entire tournament, the Natrona County Mustangs defeated the Rock Springs Tigers 77-52 to take 3rd place in the 4A State Tournament. Kyle Vinich led NC with 17 points. Though ending the tournament on a somewhat high note, the Mustangs weren't able to become back-t0-back champions...
